Having designed and produced his first event, a casually sophisticated country tented wedding, in 1982, John has devoted virtually his entire career to the art of fine event design.  John originally worked with premier design firms in Boston and is now marking his eleventh anniversary with Heffernan Morgan Ronsley Designs, the preeminent event design house of Chicago.  He has staged events in all corners of New England and the Mid West as well as in Europe.  While intimate boutique weddings and dinners are a personal favorite, John is one of only a handful of designers known for flawlessly developing and executing decor for glamorous large scale weddings and galas.

With a keen eye for editing out extraneous filler elements, John's events are marked by a highly polished and understated elegance.  Each and every detail is important to him, and how the guest experiences those details is part and parcel to the design process.  John's events are frequently the subject of countless imitators and frequently appear in all the top event industry publications.
