Heavy metal is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s-70s, largely in England and the U S. With roots in blues-rock and psychedelic rock, the bands that created heavy metal developed a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly. Christian metal is a form of heavy metal music which, as well as its many subgenres, contains Christnian lyrics and themes. Christian metal, late 1970s Jesus movement, and was pioneered by the American Resurrection Band and Swedish Jerusalem.
