With the holiday season upon us, many of us are looking for those "great deals" and where to "save" money on many items that offer little to no real value in our lives! In the midst of an economic downturn within the last five years, African- Americans (Blacks) are reported to have an astounding $1 trillion of buying power annually. Where is that money being spent? Are we spending responsibly? How is it that we own and produce far less than we spend and consume?

On today's show, we will discuss the economics of being Black in America, and how financial literacy and economic power, or lack thereof, has as much of a negative impact on us and our communities at large, as a lack of political power.

It is commonly stated that "knowledge is power", but I believe that "information is power". So let's inform ourselves about the situations that most affect us and our communities.
