DrBev, I Feel like I am losing control or going crazy?

Anxiety attacks, known as panic attacks in mental health circles, are episodes of intense panic or fear. Anxiety attacks usually occur suddenly and without warning. Sometimes there’s an obvious trigger — getting stuck in an elevator, for example, or thinking about the big speech you’re giving in a few hours—but in other cases, the attacks come out of the blue. Anxiety attacks usually peak within ten minutes, and they rarely last more than a half hour. But during that short time, the terror can be so severe that you feel as if you’re about to die or totally lose control. The physical symptoms are themselves so frightening that many people believe they’re having a heart attack. After an anxiety attack is over, you may be worried about having another one, particularly in a public place where help isn’t available or you can’t easily escape.

DrBev, I Feel like I am losing control or going crazy?

We all know what anxiety feels like. Our heart pounds before a big presentation or a tough exam. We get butterflies in our stomach during a blind date. We worry and fret over family problems or feel jittery at the prospect of asking the boss for a raise. However, if worries and fears are preventing you from living your life the way you'd like to, you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder. The good news is, there are many anxiety treatments and self-help strategies that can help you reduce your anxiety symptoms and take back control of your life.  Begin by connecting the dots in your life. Use DrBev’s Gestalt Principals (GP #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5) and save yourself, some time, pain, and suffering. NOW WHAT?  Begin today.  WHAT!!!

GP #1 - Show up.  It’s normal to worry and feel tense or scared when under pressure or facing a stressful situation. Anxiety is the body’s natural response to danger, an automatic alarm that goes off when we feel threatened.

GP #2 - Be Aware.  Although it may be unpleasant, anxiety isn’t always a bad thing
. In fact, anxiety can help us stay alert and focused, spur us to action, and motivate us to solve problems. But when anxiety is constant or overwhelming, when it interferes with your relationships and activities—that’s when you’ve crossed the line from normal anxiety into the territory of anxiety disorders.  Here is some more of DrBev's Education and knowledge to save you time, pain, and suffering.

GP# 3 - Speak your truth.  Emotional symptoms of anxiety: Irrational and excessive fear and worry, other common emotional symptoms of anxiety include:

    ·                                 Feelings of apprehension or dread

    ·                                 Trouble concentrating

    ·                                 Feeling tense and jumpy

    ·                                 Anticipating the worst

    ·                                 Irritability

    ·                                 Restlessness

    ·                                 Watching for signs of danger

    ·                                 Feeling like your mind’s gone blank

GP #4 - TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.  Physical symptoms of anxiety: Anxiety is more than just a feeling. As a product of the body’s fight-or-flight response, anxiety involves a wide range of physical symptoms. Because of the numerous physical symptoms, anxiety sufferers often mistake their disorder for a medical illness. They may visit many doctors and make numerous trips to the hospital before their anxiety disorder is discovered.  What?  What!!! Feels like, sounds like, maybe You,

GP #5 - Let go of the outcomes.  Holla at a Sista'.  Let's talk. Check DrBev out for yourself at Blog Talk Radio.  Be a guest on DrBev's radio show Emotions' R US.  Got a cell phone?  Pick it up now, dial 646.915.8114.  Talk to DrBev, live on-air, in real time.  The session is FREE. Don't wait another miniute.  Do Something, Now.  Phone or write DrBev, Today.

https://www.wikispaces.com/Gestalt "Gestalt - //noun,// a structure, configuration, or pattern of physical, biological, or psychological phenomena so integrated as to constitute a functional unit with properties not derivable by summation of its parts. Gestalt has really made itself evident and has a somewhat profound effect on the decisions I make. Gestalt used to be a word of nothingness, now I know its apart of my vocabulary and it has developed into a combination of passion, love, friendship, academics, art and the world revolving around one another. Gestalt is such an abstract and absolute concept. You can apply it to so many aspects of life. Depending on a person’s mood, it may be abstract or vague when someone does not feel like opening him or herself to the world, and it may be vibrant and full of rich details when someone is in a good and cheerful mood. We see it in our everyday lives- from our routines, lifestyles, or even our habits. Gestalt is all around us- in the air, on us, and within us. Every cell in our body is just a cell, but when brought together, it makes us- a whole being. Everything we do, learn, know, remember, like and hate, and value constitutes our life."
