Monday, February 10th, Dr. Annie Abram and Ms. Helen Armstrong, will discuss international slavery and human trafficking.

"According to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) 20.9 million men, women and children around the world are in slavery. In the 21st century people are still sold like objects, forced to work for little or no pay and at the complete mercy of their 'employers'.
Despite the fact that many people believe that slavery no longer exists, the ILO estimated that there are some 8.4 million children in slavery or practices similar to slavery (ILO,2002)." (http://www.antislavery.org)
