Today we will talk with Owen Cullen about his experience of coming out to his children. This will be the third broadcast honoring Gay Pride Month.

Our guest today is Owen Cullen, 55 years, who came to the US with his wife and 11month old daughter in 1985. He has three children ranging in age from 28 to 22 years of age. The youngest and oldest are daughters and his middle child, age 26, is a son. He has worked in construction as a carpenter his entire career. Mr. Cullen knew he was gay in his early teens but “I just never allowed it to surface and suppressed it until my early forties.”  Coming out was “tumultuous at first but now life is good. I have a great partner; my kids love him and we both get along great with my ex wife."
