Our guest, Kris Nelson D.V.M. is a veterinarian and author of "Coated With Fur: A Vet's Life." This book details her triumphs and trials of opening an animal hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota. She is a member of the American Association of Human-Animal Bond Veterinarians and has practiced for twenty-two years. Dr. Nelson now lives in Scottsdale Arizona where she cares for dogs, cats and exotic animals.
Dr. Kris Nelson has appeared in USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, DisneyFamily.com and on radio and television. As a veterinarian with a special interest in the bond between people and animals, she will address how animals impact family life on today's show.
