interesting re: today's show... i know there is something up with our language.. language is a "form" & so it is being transformed... i love what you say "productive or non-productive"--- that rocks!! many of us are shifting our perception also thru our language:-)

There is nothing in this life that you have not intended before hand, to serve as a tool to grow and expand. What must be remembered is that the purpose that the things in life that are considered hard, even very painful at times is to give us the experience needed in order to make us more powerful after that experience has run it’s course. Before coming here, seeing through our true eyes, we created that which was needed to create the situations that would put us in a position of conflict, and often times…weakness. We have created seasons in our lives that would cause us to be challenged in a way that is not possible in our true form. We have seen the world through the “looking glass” of our true nature and have seen the opportunity to become greater.
When we have gone through that which was necessary, the great challenge that we must complete is to see that experience as the tool that it was, a tool that has given us a great gift…the opportunity to become greater. The great mistake is to look back at that time, and those individuals involved, with regret, anger or hatred. This creates the opposite of our intention. This is like putting chains on ourselves and growth is not possible. The best thing that can and should be done is to look back, see the experience gained and bow in gratitude. This may seem ill-logical, but the fact remains…we needed the experience and we planned it before coming into this world. It is OUR creation and only existed because we needed it to.
Finally, we need to rid ourselves of any non-productive aspects of the experience. This may be what has become a habit such as an addiction or a thought pattern that was necessary at the time, but has served it’s purpose. Only then can we embrace that which we intended to gain. Those who have not done this can be seen as bitter, untrusting, or self-destructive. These are the one’s that have not let go, but have chosen to take on the personality of the experience as part of themselves. Instead of gaining from an experience, they have become lost in it. A slave to their own creation, intended to be a blessing which has tragically become a curse. This is only done by choice. The season is only to be temporary and afterward must be shed. When this is done, we shine brighter than before, and when we go home, all of creation is greater for it, because WE are greater.

Kundalini and the Mind

One of the things I have learned from both research and the greatest teacher: experience, is that it is not the ability of the mind to open the spiritual centers of the body, known as the Kundalini. Trying to open these ancient centers is like trying to create a rain storm from a clear sky, by speaking. The most common mistake is to believe that the conscious mind (thought or visualization) is the power needed to open these centers. The problem is, this is like the heart trying to do the work of the lungs. Seeing it in this light, it is not even logical. The mind is always trying to confirm that what it is doing is working, so the very expectation leads to monitoring every feeling, tingle and so forth. One of the greatest sayings in Buddhism is “no expectations”, and I believe that this is why.
The part that the mind plays in meditation and the Kundalini is to become one with the rest: the body and the spirit. Emotions rest in the mind so we need not worry about the heart as it lies in the Heart Chakra in the center of the chest and is more spiritual than mental or even emotional. Taking deep breaths leads to the ability of the mind to accomplish this, as we can focus on the sound of the breath. It is in this state of openness that the Kundalini is able to work it’s magic. The thoughts can only get in the way.

Proof of the Great Force: Beethoven
Who better than Beethoven to remind people that there is far more to the human being than the senses? Here is a man that did his best work when he was deaf. It makes me think: what DID he hear inside himself that let him know that what he was creating was beautiful? He “heard” vibration like we hear sound, which is also vibration. He listened with the spirit, not needing the senses of the body. It is a reminder that we too can do the same. This is a reminder that we are capable of far more than the vessel we are in now can do.
