Prerequisites are the ability to write a project, have good test scores, and 3 to 5  letters of recommandation, plus Transcripts. Show that you know the professors you are going to work with. Your CV has to be retailored after what you are applying for; put things into a different order. It helps to have foreign travel experience, some kind of knowledge about the world. You have to stress why you are good for UCLA, what would your contribution be to knowledge if admitted. in general the Masters in Political Sciences leads usually to a Ph.D. In order to enter any UCLA Master's Programs all above papers are needed.
