Dilsa is a recent nominee for the Georgia Author of the Year Award 2010, and has been writing as a hobby since the age of 13. In her new novel, Dreams Thrown Away, Mrs. Bailey writes of a young southern girl faced with life changing choices after her parents’ tragic deaths. The journey of the young woman takes her to the Northeast where life is hard, fast, and destructive. She lands in the city of Philadelphia with nothing but a suitcase and a dream of an Ivy League education, wealth, and love. She finds all three, but she has to make some tough life or flight choices in the process. Mrs. Dilsa Saunders-Bailey was a recent guest on the Lee Pitts Live television show. She will be a participating author at the National Black Book festival in Houston, TX, and the National Book Club Conference in Atlanta, GA. Dilsa blogs on her website, www.simplydilsa.com, and promotes her book on www.dilsasaundersbailey.com, where you can read an excerpt of her new novel. Join Dr. Empowerment in a conversation of success and life choices.
