"Scott M. Richter: Screenwriter and Entertainment Attorney" On WIN Without Competing! Dr. Arlene will interview Scott Richter, who has two careers – screenwriter and entertainment attorney – that fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. On a daily basis, Scott juggles these respective “right brain” and “left brain” professions and has even managed to combine both. Indeed, among his many active projects, Scott is writing a legal sitcom pilot for Double G Productions. A member of the Writers Guild America West, Scott won the 2007 Austin Film Festival Drama teleplay competition for his Grey’s Anatomy script, “Reality Bites” and his credits include three years on the Emmy Award winning Christopher Lowell Show, where he wrote comedy cold opens and other material for the interior design guru. Scott has also consulted on various Christopher Lowell Enterprise media projects. Among Scott’s other credits are celebrity autobiographical endeavors with Fess Parker (Walt Disney’s Davy Crockett and TV’s Daniel Boone) and model and actress Amy Theismann (daughter of sports broadcaster and former NFL great Joe Theismann). In addition to his legal sitcom pilot, Scott is developing a comedy feature for a Paramount Pictures based production company and was recently invited to pitch to a top TV producer. Among his many activities, Scott is a board member of First Stage, a renowned non-profit theater group in Hollywood, which has staged some of his plays and attracts such prominent actors as Ed Asner, Estelle Harris and Ed O’Neill. Join Dr. Arlene as she uncovers how Scott manages to balance two demanding careers and how each has served the other.
