This show will look at fans, linking with other applications, building a fan wall, separating personal from commercial and much more. Call in and add your voice.

    Linking In (Australasian show)

As a follow on of last weeks show we will be spending the next 4 shows looking at the social recruiting channels available. The positives and the negatives and how to get the best out of them. This week we will be starting with Linked In. Linked In was a great start for me and many others looking to source candidates. many recruiters have followed suit, and with so many recruiters now using Li has it become over populated? What is the best way to use questions, groups, connections etc? do job postings work? do you need the paid for options to be effective? All this and more on what promises to be an informative and educational show.

    The social recruiting questions

When social media meets recruiting you get social recruiting. Social recruiting is new for most practioners. for some it provides a route to job posting that challenges the job board supremacy, for others it is a means of sourcing and has seen the emergence of some super sourcers. Others favour the talent pool route or have ignored it all together, preferring to use more established methods to ride out the recession. If it is twitter, facebook, blogging, podcasts or any of the channels you use, this show will look at each in turn together with the pro's & cons of each. I've also watched with interest as new delivery models have emerged, with these new tools has it changed the way we work forever, or is it just a fad?

  • Original Air Date:

    The Candidate Experience

As the market rises will the candidates come back? We know they will be looking again but will the recessionary explosion of social media & corporate recruiting mean third party recruiters will become a thing of the past? I think not, but there will undoubtedly need to be a raising of the game. Call in and share your views.

    The Road To Recovery

In the first edition of the new Australasian show, we look at what is happening to the recruitment markets in the region as well as worldwide, the noises that are coming out of the market and look in to the future to predict what the next 18 months will be like. What's changed with client perception? whats changed with candidate perception? What impact social media? What can you do as a recruiter (corporate or agency) to make the most of it.
