After an exhaustive search for a new president, the United Way of Pioneer Valley’s Board of Directors named Dora Robinson as its president and chief executive officer in October 2009. A resident of Springfield,MA, Robinson has more than 25 years’ experience in human services administration, including 18 years as president and chief executive officer of Martin Luther King Jr. Family Services. She also served as Director of Children and Family Services at the Center for Human Development, and as Director of the Foster Grandparent Program at the Urban League of Springfield. Robinson brings her breadth of experience to the United Way of Pioneer Valley as the organization works to establish a new framework to assist our community. Robinson shares her insights, vision and passion for helping Pioneer Valley residents meet the challenges ahead. ABOUT UNITED WAY OF PIONEER VALLEY, MASSACHUSETTS United Way of Pioneer Valley is a local non-profit philanthropic organization that provides resources to address pressing community concerns. It supports community services for individuals and families, education and programs focused on helping children and youth achieve their potential, financial education and access services to increase family economic stability, and support for emergency needs. The UWPV's service area is Hampden County, Granby, and South Hadley, MA.
