YOU ARE RIGHT SISTER

Don't give up on U!

Don't Give Up on U! It is your right and responsibility to live your best life...Be all that God has designed you to be...It is impossible to become something you have never desired to be! The dreams/desires you concieve in your heart are GIFTS/TALENTS given to you by God. These gifts/talents hold the key to your blessings in this lifetime. Many of us find it difficult to walk in the blessings of these gifts/talents. There are countless reasons as to why we are living BENEATH and not IN the blessings of our gifts/talents. Diligent research and careful observation has unveiled the number one reason why gifted/talented people remain underdogs in their lives. The reason is lack of support from family, friends, etc...Some of us are spoiled to the core with unlimited encouragement, acceptance and love from friends, family, co-workers, etc....the people with the most support usually excel in their lives!...On the other hand some people are not so plentiful when it comes to the support of friends, family, etc..Don't miss the understanding here..it is not so much the amount of support that is imperative..rather the quality of the support that is important! I have met a few people who had more talent in their pinky finger than most of us have in our entire body but, their lives were medicore and on the verge of destitute because they had no reliable source of support in their lives.... But, is this a reason to give up on U?....NO!...Upon figuring out how GREAT YOU ARE...you must get busy acquiring what it is you are lacking in your life in order to REAP THE BLESSINGS OF YOUR GREATNESS!!... Finding out what is holding you back will be the deal breaker!

Giving others too much power over your mind is a dangerous and weak state to be in!!

Giving others power and control over your mind is a dangerous and weak state to be in!!
How we feel about ourselves depends largely on how others treat us...it is as simple as that!...Many of us are driven by the oppinions of others.  Driven to succeed or Driven Insane!...Negative, demeaning comments have more of an impact on your self-esteem than positive encourage comments....We tend to remember the negative comments overall because of the debilating blows they possess....the hurt lasts for a long time!!....Unlike positive influences where the affects are much like a quick high after the rush of esteem is over the high quickly fades and you are in need of another fix!!...Comments like..You are fat, women who can't fit into a size 2 clothing should not think of becoming a model!..You are too short, short men are not sexy!...Your nose is too big!...Your skin is too dark!...Your breast are small!  You are not smart enough to attend law school!...You have to be a blonde with double "D's" and wear a size 2 to make in Hollywood...these comments haunts your mind permanently!...Even the most confident person can become a victim of someones judgement/oppinion...The only oppinion that should have the most power over your mind is your own....I have adopted a method that helps me to rise above allowing others oppinions and judgement affect me permanently.
This method is called analyze the analytics...Whomever is offering their damage to my self-esteem gets a thorough examination of their background and character from me!!
I need to know what qualifies that individual to have such power over me...In other words you have to turn the tables around and ask them to start with the man in the mirror before he/she decides to critique you!!...Take a closer look at the things they think are invisible, hidden, undiscovered, covered up, etc...and you find that they DO NOT QUALIFY TO BREAK YOU DOWN in anyway shape form or fashion!!! This will take that power they thought they had and STUMP IT OUT OF EXISTENCE!!...From that moment on you will no longer allow others to affect your mind or your life to the point that you TURN AGAINST YOUR OWN SELF!!! It is so not fair to let anyone to become that important to you that their very words and how they treat you will cause you to hate yourself and ultimately self destruct!...No one is worth it not your friends, associate, husband, wife, boss, NO ONE!!

In loving memory of a man whom the most complimentary adjective can not measure up in describing him...Michael Jackson, I am sorry you allowed so many people to have such a powerful and dangerous affect over you....sleep was his greatest escape and now he will sleep forever....I ADORE YOU, FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    -Sincerely,
    Don't give up on U!

GET IN where you FIT IN!!

Having a hard time finding your fit in social circles, clicks, clubs, groups, organizations, ministries, etc...It is all your fault!...You need to stop!...Check yourself!...Ask yourself, "what am I doing wrong?"...Here are a few suggestions you must consider when attempting to submerge yourself into a "tribe". Yes, I did call it a "TRIBE"...because that is what all social circles, clicks, clubs, groups, etc..ulitmately become...A tribe, is a social group of humans connected by a shared system of values and organized for mutual care, defense, and survival beyond that which could be attained by a lone individual or family. A 'tribe' is defined in anthropology. When viewed historically or developmentally, a tribe is a mutual care system which, unlike a kingdom or state or other schema, is oriented around kinship and shared beliefs.....
Suggestion#1...find out if the tribe has the same belief/agenda as you do.
(it makes no sense in getting yourself all excited about being apart of something only to find out you have absolutely NOTHING IN COMMON...
you just don't think alike /live alike or look alike...PROBLEM!!)
Suggestion#2...find out if the tribe has an open door policy for admissions.
(You maybe trying to get in somewhere you have not been invited to in the first place..you walk in the door and knives start jetting from peoples eyes ...PROBLEM!!)
Suggestion#3...find out if the tribe is based on socio-economic statis (that is popular these days...I should have made this sug#1)... Bougie or Realistic.
(you may be too low class for the Bougies and too fake for the Realistics!)
Suggestion#4...if you have had little success in being accepted into a tribe of your choice...the last and final suggestion should suit you perfectly!!
Suggestion#5...START YOUR OWN BLEEPIN TRIBE, FOR EARTH'S SAKE!!
(stop running around from this to that waisting time...most people who are easily accepted into social circles, clicks, groups, organizations, gangs, ministries, etc...are usually followers and don't have the BACK-BONE to be leaders...and is ok just following..ok! that is for them but, You my friend...are not a follower...you are an independent thinker, a creative force to be reconed with, unique on all levels of intellegence...so therefore, you want be easily accepted into these tribes because there is only room for one CHIEF!! And the chief of any tribe have the ability to recognize competiton when he sees it..YOU!!)
GET IN WHERE YOU FIT IN...PERHAPS, IT IS YOUR OWN CREATION..YOUR TRIBE!

    Sincerely,
    Don't give up on U!

"Don't despise SMALL BEGINNINGS...for the Lord rejoices to see the work BEGIN!"

Small steps.....I have been procrastinating for a long time, starting and stopping...You know the story!!...I started the writing process of my book in 1998 and here it is 2009. So much time has passed while I contemplate and procrastinate....contemplate whether or not I could really write a book....I knew I had the stories as well as the creativity to make it happen...my delima was do I have the GUTS TO SEE IT THROUGH TO THE END....I had so many pinchy doubts....with writing a book I assumed that I had to have some kind of literature degree, lots of money, know high people in high places, etc...Being a frequent visitor of the local bookstores I realized that new authors were sprouting up on the bookshelf every week....authors I had never heard of...black authors...minority female authors...WOW!!...just the inspiration I needed to see my books on the shelf....Many of these authors never achieved a degree in literature..yet, they have written and published successful books...three months ago I took a chance on seeking out publishing companies for my book..I needed editing, graphics, THE WORKS!...self publishing is not an option for my first book...The publishing company I am working with is fairly new and I will be their 8th client....Although they are a small company I am still excited about taking this chance in order to reach my goal....My grandmother would always quote this scripture, "Don't despise small beginnings for the Lord rejoices to see the work BEGIN!".....There is no greater accomplishment than defeating the doubts and completing what you have begun....no matter how long it takes and how many small steps you make!

    Lost baby chickerdee....

I am having dinner with a friend and get a phone call...."Ma, guess what I got?"...ok what is it and can it wait til I get home is what I'm thinking...all of sudden I hear my son say I found a baby duckling...he was stuck in the middle of the road on the median...he went on to say that he was on his way home and heard this little squeaky noise it was getting dark so he really could not make out exactly what it was making the noise and all of sudden a little shadow jumped out into the street and ran towards him....He said he looked down and it was a tiny baby duck.  He said he went out into the street to pick him up before a car came.  As he picked up the little duck he continued to cry and soon became calm.  He tried to figure out where the chickee came and remembered that there was a lake about a mile and half from where he found the chickee.  He took the time to walk the baby chickee to the lake and there he found other ducks and chickees in the lake and released the little chickee. He went on the say the little chickee was quiet on the way to the lake and as he approached the lake the chickee began to squeak as though he was saying, YaaaaaY!...Thanx!.....I'm Home!!!!......On behalf of my wonderful son I would like to say it takes a loving soul to take out time to walk a little chickerdee home to his Mommie....I Thank God everyday when he sends you home safely to me!!!

    Sincerely,

    Touch not...Harm not....Continued

Pump your breaks!!!!.....the reason I force the understanding of Touch not...Harm not...is to prevent the possibility of you doing yourself  wrong...out of malignant ignorance...You can not go on appearance only when it comes to how you treat others....Someone may not live up to your standards for whatever reason and may fall victim to your maltreatment...But, if we all can keep in mind that Jesus did not look like he could be the son of God although he warned the people of who he was!!...Out of preconcieved notions and judging him by his appearance the people proceeded to treat him with carelessness because he did not impress them as being anyone of importance!...How many times you and I have crossed paths with someone and they were strange or peculiar in some kind of way..hmmmm?  The first thing we are tempted to do is give that person an unwelcoming expression or give an out right insult or unpleasant remark about them!  When I think of behaving in this fashion towards people I may not approve of...I think to myself I probably would have mistakenly treat Jesus the same JACKED UP WAY!!....Most people think that they would just be so kind, gentle and sweet if they met Jesus...sad to say, based on his appearance in the bible if he was walking on earth today we may mistaken him for a CRAZY LOOKIN HOMELESS GUY and turn our noses up at him.....YIKES!!....I have learned by experience to get to know the spirit of a person and not put so much attention on the outward persona....This will keep us all safe from the Touch not...Harm not....You will meet the annointed and the prophet look past shallowness of impression and see the call of God upon their life and bless them!!!

    Touch not....Harm not....

1 chronicles 16:22 says, "touch not my annointed and do my prophets no harm"...
We often take heed to this scripture as it pertains to the people which we are familiar with within the church setting...those that have some kind of title or role within the church such as pastor, deacon, reverend, etc...I've researched the words touch and annointed to get a better understanding of what the entire scripture means...the word touch is hebrew and also called "naga" which means to strike, beat or to bring down violently....the word annointed also called "mashiyach" means to be a concencrated person/s or believers...
I have always been the type to be careful how I treat all people because you never know who they are by merely looking at them....We quickly proceed with caution when we are in the presence of someone whose appearance is highly recognizeable such as those dressed in a particular kind of wardrobe such police attire, doctors attire, someone wearing a clergyman's collar representing their faith, etc...When I think of the 1 chronicles 16:22 the meaning of this scripture expands beyond the church and to the entire world at large...as we walk through our daily lives we should be on guard at how we treat others...
It is possible that we can be tempted to go against what 1Chronicles warns us not to do...
How do you know whom God has annointed....How do you know whom is a believer...For if you do have wisdom about the annointed one or the prophet and still you proceed to touch and harm or as the definition states strike, beat, or bring down violently what danger lies in wait for you?????.....It is vital that we treat others with love and respect often for you may be touching and harming the annointed and the prophet...Touch not....Harm not!

Does your life story have BLOCKBUSTER POTENTIAL!!

Lately I have been forthcoming with sharing the testimony of my life.  There was a time when I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I felt as though a grey cloud was continually following me over shadowing my joy with gloom.  I often felt that I was the only one experience such grief.  As I matured and things began to turn for the better I realized that all that I had been through was unique in its own way and that everyone have their trials in life big or small.  I moved from a place of anger, sadness and constantly questioning God, "Why me?"...to a place of gratitude, peace and inspiration.  One evening  I was visiting my favorite bookstore Books-A-Million and stumble upon the autobiograhy section all of a sudden I had what Oprah calls a Lightbulb moment!  I believe that a divine intervention was happening to me...I believe that God was showing me how to get the blessing out of what was a peculiar childhood the say the least.  I knew that my story was valuable in many ways not just to me but to others as well.  I quickly began to retrace my life.  I went as far as to go back to some of the homes I had been placed in and take pictures.  One place in particular was a place called Vashti.  Vashti is located in Thomasville, Ga.  It is a well known historic land mark in Thomasville it is about 100 yrs old.  At the time when I was placed into fostercare at Vashti in the mid 80's it was a dormatory style foster home.  Where the boys had their living quarters and the girls had theirs.  I want say much more you will have read the book!...Speaking of book, I wanted to announce that after searching and submitting scripts to countless publishers I have achieved a break-through!...I am overjoyed to say that, "all things work together for the good to them that love God who are called according to his purpose!" (Romans 8:28)
Many times I have questioned God because I could not understand the reason for my life...I could not figure out why he allowed so many people to touch my life in such an awful way.  During these moments of questioning and yes COMPLAINING he finally revealed to me with these words, "To whom much is given much is required"(Luke 12:48).  He has given to thee many talents and with these talents came MY CROSS!  I am no longer resentful of my cross but, I am Thankful for his mercy in seeing me through!
