Host: James Talmage Stephens (aka, Dr. Prepper)

Guest: The Patriot Nurse

His online pseudonym is Dr. Prepper and in this program he visits with a practicing medical professional who goes by the online pseudonym of “The Patriot Nurse”.

She is an currently a practicing RN, with a BSN, specializing in natal care and in training people in medical preparedness for extreme circumstances.  In addition to her work in the United States, she has also traveled extensively in 3-world countries for medical mission work.

One commentator remarked: “She runs, she guns and she heals the sick.”  Modestly, Patriot Nurse explains it:  “God heals the sick.  It’s his drama, I just show up as an actress.”  Perhaps her best quote is: “I am a prepper, I am a woman; I am free––and I’ll stay that way.”

As Patriot Nurse points out to Dr. Prepper at the beginning of this interview, “Without being medically prepared you can be blindsided by some very simple things.”

She explains that on the Internet, in prepping programs and movies, people get the instructions that, “As long as you have food, guns and a medical kit you bought on sale at Wally-World, you’re going to be okay.

“Food and guns are not so difficult to learn about nor to acquire, but to adequately cover the medical side it takes much more focus and education.”

Patriot Nurse takes a very balanced approach to being prepared.  Medical preparedness is decidedly less glitzy, but is integral to a well-rounded plan for thriving during difficult times.  Her work is to fill that void for the average individual and family.
