Our topic will be “Why do civilizations collapse, and what happens in the aftermath.” Andrew Ferguson is a lecturer of sociology at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, teaching criminology, deviant behaviors, social problems and homeland security/disaster studies. He also teaches history courses, including world civilizations and terrorism. Outside of academia, Mr. Ferguson consults on issues of disaster management and mitigation, high risk counter-terrorism tactics, and post conflict reconstruction. His clients include civilians, businesses, federal, state, local and foreign governments. He also operates Tactical Diversions for scenario training events.
