Developing a Survival Attitude (Part 2)

Learn how to develop a survival attitude and the critical role hope plays in a survival situation.

Now that we understand being emotionally centered and the importance of positive emotions, we’ll investigate the practical development of a survival attitude and cultivating hope.  What’s in your head and your heart determines whether you survive.  If you lose hope, you’re as good as dead in a survival situation.  Mental, emotional, and psychological resilience is the ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.  Resilience and adaptability are key attributes we need to survive.  Being able to readily adapt to different conditions shows in our willingness to try new things, like eating weeds or proteins we are unaccustomed to and encompasses the way we look at the world.
