Self-Reliant Living
with
Jim Phillips
.
Tonight's topic:
Selecting Multiple Routes to "Get Out Of Dodge"
. Jim's guest tonight is John Hoover, a trained volunteer in search and rescue, advanced first aid, risk mitigation and wilderness survival. John is a strong proponent of the need for personal and family preparedness, not hoping some agency will take care of you during an emergency. Mr. Hoover discusses the practical skills you need to have when staying put and riding things out is not an option. Learn all about land navigation, so you can practice now in order to insure you can get away from danger if the need ever arises and the failure to do so could be fatal. He also describes the necessary tools for navigating from your local area and in totally new and unfamiliar territory, how to do this during the day, at night with celestial guides, on a moonless night with heavy overcast, and during foul weather.
