Modern Combat Masters: Pendekar Steven Benitez

Steven has been given the highest honorary title ‘Pendekar’ (‘Protector’) known in Indonesia and SE Asia. He has been practicing martial arts since he was eight years old and has been involved in numerous tournaments. He was winner of the Birmingham Martial Arts Championship in 1989, which then took him further to train under Guru Ma in Holland who took his martial art skill and knowledge to another level. With Guru Ma, he co-founded the Satria Fighting Arts and Satria Yoga and developed his own Lotus Kembangan. He also pioneered and inspired ‘Our Orphans’ (a division of ‘Universal Life Charity’ reg. no 1115137) after his encounter with St. Thomas Orphanage in 2001.
