Karen Kaplan, who has had over a 40 year relationship with anorexia and says she wants to help as many people as she can to overcome the challenge. It's a nasty disease and she believes that she has the expertise to help women break away before it comes in and takes over their lives.
She was born in NJ and went to college in Ohio, Denver and NJ. She had a career as an English Teacher for many years and moved to California in 1977. The earthquake in 1994 was Karen's turning point in which she changed her focus to exercise and then marketing and public relations. A tumor on her spine and 5 surgeries later Karen changed careers again to take up life coaching and making a difference by teaching women how to overcome their challenges with eating disorders.
