Trained as a traditional French chef, Potvin has dedicated his culinary career to creating tasty, nutritious and convenient food—recognizing that many people today want healthier versions of the foods they love. In 1985, at 28 years of age, he launched his first company, Yves Veggie Cuisine, which grew to become the largest producer of fresh meat alternative products in North America.
He has been recognized as one of Canada’s top 40 under 40 by Financial Post magazine, and also named Pacific Canada’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Agriculture and Food.
