Call in to speak with the host
It's time once again for another exciting edition of The Down and Dirty with Frank Fontana! First up we welcome Ed Zotti to the studio. Ed is perhaps best known as the editor of The Straight Dope -- a nationally-syndicated column dedicated to "Fighting Ignorance Since 1973." So it's quite fitting then that this no-nonsense DIY-minded guy wrote a book called The Barn House: Confessions of an Urban Rehabber. It's all about how he and his family bought a dilapidated house in a then-sketchy Chicago neighborhood, and the adventures they had fixing it up! In our Craftsmanship segment we'll check in with Bob Kolze of Kolze's Corner Gardens. Since spring is now in full-force, we'll learn about the best ways to design your plant and garden areas both inside and outside of your home. The National Hockey League playoffs kick off this week... and during our Man-Land segment we'll chat with WGN Radio producer/reporter Justin Weiner about how the Blackhawks got lucky at the end of their regular season, and who has the best chances to win Lord Stanley's Cup this year. So tune in for all of this and more -- including a DIY Disasters story from our very own Bo Balogun, and a preview of all the great events happening at the Craftsman Experience over the next couple weeks with Alex Sherman. Oh yeah! Let's get Down and Dirty.
It's good to talk.
