Call in to speak with the host
Today on The Down and Dirty with Frank Fontana we're celebrating the great outdoors... and more! Our first guest is Katherine Imp of the self-proclaimed Traveling Circus! She talked her brother and good friend into hiking the Appalachian Trail with her last year, and now there's a documentary about it in the works. She'll stop by our studio to share some stories about the most famous hiking trail in the US, and their experiences during their 5-month 2200-mile journey. During our Craftsmanship segment we'll get the scoop on event planning with Deb Schulte. And as it happens, she helped coordinate the Table Inspirations 2011 event that Frank attended in Lincoln, Nebraska! What does it take to put together a successful event -- whether it be for charity purposes, a personal party, or a corporate get-together? How can you ensure that everything is in place for a good time? Deb is a true DIY-er when it comes to doing the job she loves. And in honor of the Arthur movie remake that came out this week, during Man-Land we'll check in with Steve Spears of the St. Petersburg Times about his list of the best drinking movies of the 1980s. Cheers! So we've got all this, plus a followup story from our DIY Disasters correspondent Greg Hastings... and stay tuned for a special on-the-street report produced by DIY Sidekick Search hopeful Lauren Strec. It's going to be a fun show. Step outside, and let's get Down and Dirty!
It's good to talk.
