For the third consecutive year, Detroit-based Bridgewater Interiors L.L.C. remains the nation’s third-largest black-owned company. Since moving up 19 places on the BE Industrial/Service Companies list from No. 22 in 2005, the company has earned the recognition of being a BE 100s top employment and sales leader.

As a joint venture between automotive supplier Johnson Controls and Detroit-based Epsilon L.L.C., Bridgewater Interiors produces seating and interior systems for some of the nation’s leading automakers including Ford Motor Co., who awarded the minority auto supplier a groundbreaking $500 million annual contract in 2003.

Since its inception in 1998, Bridgewater Interiors has grossed more than $1 billion in revenues and expanded its enterprise to incorporate a manufacturing firm in Warren, Michigan.
