Join us as we dive into the literary form/genre of slave narrative "aka" captivity Literature. Slave narrative grew out of the experience of enslaved Africans in Britain and it's colonies. It has since grown as more and more slaves from America, Canada and the Carribean have given an account of their lives during the 18th and 19th centuries. Slave narratives was first produced in England in the 18th century and quickly became part of African American literature.
