On this the last show before we break for the Thanksgiving holiday we were thinking that we haven't been able to talk with our friend the lovely Lora Braun on the show for the last six months because she is always working on Wednesday nights. That all changes tonight on a special Thursday night edition of the show.

Dirty Dan and Mongo Man Show Wednesday May 27, 2009 Welcomes Raine Nation Show #59

Guitar solos, thundering percusssion, timing changes, stage presence, musicianship and a TRUE love of what they are doing...THAT is what RAINE guarantees with each show. We won't be limited or catagorized in our persuit of the Rock-N-Roll fantasy. Our style is as diverse as the influences and idols that inspired us to let our voices and souls be heard and (MOST importantly) felt. We aren't going to tell you how good we are, we can only tell you how good it feels to see people singing along with our originals or shaking it up to the covers we use as a "sonic Handshake". It's what YOU the listener think of our shows that matter above all. So come on out, we'll give you a ride from Blues to Funk to Metal and everything inbetween! The time has come to take the leash off Rock-N-Roll! We're RAINE NATION

Something a little different this week as we talk with the owners of Naperville's first pawn shop. Naperville Jewelry & Loan provides a valuable service to the public. We lend cash instantly and we buy many items of value like gold and silver (jewelry or otherwise), gold coins, silver coins, diamonds, rings, watches, musical instruments, laptops, digital cameras, and high-end electronics. It's easy to work with Naperville Jewelry & Loan. There are no credit checks, or back ground checks, it doesn’t matter if your in bankruptcy or even in default on credit cards or bank loans, that’s because we work with you to lend money on your collateral.

Dirty Dan and Mongo Man Show Wednesday May 6, 2009 Welcome HighGlossBlack Show #56

You know it when you see it… Dark, heavily polished, pretty, but a little bit evil. As a color, High Gloss Black is all around you every day. It’s not just a paint color it’s a vibe… It’s retro and modern. It’s classy and trashy at the same time. It just needed a sound. Enter Ray Rokicki, Geoff Jania, and Robert Harrison, members of Chicago ’s most notorious rock band, American Motherload. They had years of songwriting, recording, and live experience. They had amassed a backlog of music deep enough to put out as many double albums as there were in the ‘70’s, and they had a new vision: To combine the sound in their heads with a Rockstar. Who better to fit the bill of Rockstar than someone who’s already associated with the term, local to Chicago , and road ready? Jessica Robinson burst onto the scene in season one of Rockstar:INXS and won a legion of fans with her rock steady performances. The result is an amazing mix of influences and experiences. It's oozing darkness that's raw around the edges, capturing the vibe of the roots of hard rock and metal laid down by the pioneers like Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, and Black Sabbath. It's also steeped in the shimmering sounds of their contemporaries such as Stone Temple Pilots, Guns and Roses, and Alice in Chains. Is it 2009 or 1979? Is it new or is it old school? Is it time to crack open a beer or get the hell out of the way? HighGlossBlack is the new black. Here they come, you'd better be ready.
