One of the true pioneers of US Soccer, in 1989 Paul Caligiuri made "The shot heard round the world" against Trinidad and Tobago that put the United States in the World Cup for the first time in forty years. In pulling off this completely unexpected upset, Paul and his teamates insured the US hosting the 1994 World Cup which provided the momentum and financial impetus for future National Team success (U.S. has qualfied for all six World Cups since then) along with seed money for the first successful professional soccer league in the United States - MLS. If you are among the million plus US viewers each week that watch NBCSN's coverage of the Barcley's Premier League, you know well expert pundit and commentator Robbie Earle.  Both football legends join us live from the Podcast Cubby at the Olde Ship British Pub and Restaurant. We talk how each grew to be professional and National Team level players, how soccer has grown in the US v England, BPL teams' summer transfer window needs,FIFA, and some of Paul's personal interfaces with names you hear related to the FIFA scandels. We talk fast paced footy with two worldwide experts - the contrasts and comparisons between a Brit and a Yank and thier interactions with our expert panel make this by far our best show yet!
