Hello Diane, Lived in Boston most of my life. I imagine you and some of your listeners are mourning the death of Ted Kennedy. I see it, differently. Finally, term limits in Mass. I witnessed the results of Ted's politics first hand. The People's Republic Of Mass will never be the same. Ted was certainly a man of the people, especially if you had big boobs.

On the Second half, we will be discussing our failed Foreign Policy; and witness the Veteran's movement against it, as well as the defection of Matthew Hoh. As always, we will be ranting about the utter lack of accountability the last administration is held to, and stand in shock and dismay as the new administration continues to enact War Crimes.     Our conversation continues from last week, expanding on the already collapsed Empire of the United States and our options for facing the fallout of that fact. We are going to talk about the basic break with reality that is pervasive in the American mentality, and frame it in both the converse reaction to the health care debate and the utter lack of response to the economic crisis. The class war has already been played out, and the people lost. So what remains is how to deal with reality, and if Americans can ever break free of the veil and see that reality. What remains is what we envision next. Fight, flight or f**ktitude? This discussion has been scrutinized over several threads these past days and continues today. Should we cling to the "Positive Thinking Brainwashing," or remain "Prophets of the Doom?" We are hoping to have a special guest call in and weigh in, and hope to hear from all of you as well.

    Join WWL cohosts Diane Gee and Michael Gottlieb tonight as we ponder this new administration's seeming lockstep with the worst of Cheney's policies: Saber rattling Iran, as was done with Iraq, in blatantly lies to cover expansionism of our military footprint. The intentional blocking of the Goldstone report, and capitulation to Israel's imaginary yet permanent "security crisis." (Yes, they claim this report would hurt Israel's right to defend itself, WTF, over?) The ever expanding war theater in Afghanistan, our new Vietnam. We will also be discussing Cheney himself, as retired Generals start to openly criticize his Gitmo and Torture policies, and quietly are beginning to leak how unfeasible our strategy is in Afghanistan. Cheney's teflon coat is wearing more as the FBI has been ordered to release their interview with regards to the Plame case. Our big question for the evening.... is ANYTHING changing at all, or has the Dark Lord's influence started to crumble? See you there! As always, respectful questions and commentary are welcomed.
