Clara O. Barnes, a native of Greenwood, South Carolina, she is the daughter of Mrs. Chessie J. Oliver and the late Mr. James Oliver Sr. She is the eldest of eight children. Clara is the wife of Mr. Herbert Barnes. They have been married for thirty-nine years. She is the proud mother of two sons, Steven, and Herbert T., and a blessed grandmother of six grandchildren and two great-grands.
Dr. Clara O. Barnes is the Pastor and Founder of Living Waters Church of Worship in Greenwood, South Carolina. She is the author of God’s Amazing Grace Spanning Four Generations. Her book has been reviewed and received a five star rating, and her second book is soon to be published. Dr. Barnes is the recipient of the 2011, prestigious Esther Award for outstanding leadership.
Most of all, she is a born- again Christian, and a hard fighting soldier in the army of the Lord. She puts her trust and faith in the true and living God.
