Celeste Mergens, founder of Days for Girls International empowers girls, women and communities in 29 nations on5 continents, reversing the cycle of poverty in a simple, direct, effective and surprising way: We help women have access to sustainable feminine hygiene. One of the major causes of disempowerment of girls in developing countries is their monthly cycle. Many girls cannot afford feminine hygiene products and as a result cannot attend school. With attention to collaboration, and responsiveness to local feedback Days for Girls tackles large systemic challenges a simple solution that is turning out to be key to social changes.Time Iz Money (T.I.M.) operates as a hip hop duo and all around entertainment enterprise. Member DJ DNERO was born in the Bronx, NY, and D.EAGLE, born in Brooklyn and raised in Portsmouth, VA. They came together as teens to form Time Iz Money in 2000, located in The Poconos, PA. With plays and downloads well in the six-figures from a multitude of online sites, T.I.M. continues to take the internet by storm. It does not stop there; in addition to their digital occupancy, the group further elevates their presence with physical mixtapes at promotional events across the country. They continue to venture out by hosting, promoting, and producing music and projects with and for other artists, and expanding creatively by working on comedy sketches, movie scripts, books and more in order to expand the brand that is Time Iz Money. Amidst an age of media culture and the fabrication of electronically manipulated music, Time Iz Money maintains an authentic hip hop sound matched with lyrics that penetrate the club scene, and takes it a step further to penetrate the true essence of hip hop and meaningful music.
