DIABETIC L.I.F.E. Change The World..."Global Diabetic Awareness"  

DIABETIC L.I.F.E. is a program dedicated to motivating people of all ages dealing with diabetes. No matter if it affects you directly or indirectly this program is for you. Each week we will cover a topic that is faced by us and how we should handle it as it comes up. From facing the problem to controlling it to owning it, all aspects of this will be discussed. We invite all to listen in and call in.

Diabetic L.I.F.E. is the parent organization for many of our other online communities that we have set up for diabetics to support other diabetics as well as themselves in this world. Each week new topics will be discussed as we take on diabetes and how it affects each of us as diabetics and our family and friends. Globally we have a mission to help shape and change the world.

    Diabetes Awareness

    $0I haven't written in a long time so I thought I would take a few minutes and say a few words.$0$0$0$0$0We are in the fight of our lives as diabetics. My one and only concern and mission right now with our communities is to bring awareness of this disease to the proper level. There are other groups working to raise money for a cure. There are other groups raising money for research, and then there are group raising money for medical needs now that diabetics are lacking due to no insurance or little insurance.$0$0$0$0$0The way I see it the more awareness that comes to light, then many of these other situations may go away. The more awareness that is spotlighted on the fight diabetics make everyday for medical needs and living a more meaningful life the easeir it will be to do just that.$0$0$0$0$0I am not saying there isn't awareness. I am saying there isn't enough awareness and there are not enough groups doing anything about it. So I see our mission throughout our communities as a mission of awareness. A mission to bring it out loud. To make this mission a no brainer to the people who see it. The time is now and we need to take it and control it.$0$0$0$0$0Over the last few days I have been going at it on the show about awareness and I will never stop. If I stop who will pick it up from there. If I stop what happens then. So I won't. I won't stop till we feel good about awareness. I won't stop till I feel good about awareness and that could be never.$0$0$0$0$0So what am I asking for? NOT MONEY! I want commitment from people who care. I want you to commit 1/2 an hour, 1 hour, it doesn't matter. Once a week, once a month, it doesn't matter. I just want a commitment from you to DO SOMETHING! not nothing. SOMETHING. DO ONE THING FOR ME AND ALL DIABETICS AND THAT'S IT! ONE THING!$0$0$0$0$0Thanks$0$0Mark$0
