For our NUTRITION episode, I am so grateful to welcome John Reed as our guest. John has been a truck driver for 35 years, an Owner/Operator for 30 years. John's weight problem goes way back to high school and by 2010 he was 240 lbs. (and John is not a tall guy!! ) He was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, as well as having Thyroid problems and Sleep Apnea. As a result, he lost his two year medical card. He decided to make his health a priority and signed up to take a college course on Nutrition. During his studies he found the best way for him was a No Sugar No Grain lifestyle. On November 1, 2014 he went cold turkey and is down 175 lbs. and went from a 44 inch waist to a 34 and is completely off all medication. He has since Graduated and is a Board Certified Nutritionist!!!
Listen as John shares how easy this lifestyle can be a Truck Driver on the road or for anybody wanting to lose weight and be healthy. He will also share tips on shopping at a grocery store or Walmart as well as how he personally stocks up on foods to last him 5 days or more and keep them in a cooler in his truck.
