Quick hello to everyone reading the blog, be it from BTR, Bleacher report, or the Sportsnet.ca forums.

I'm real excited about this.  Tomorrow is the debut edition of the show.  We will be on air for one full hour starting at 9 AM eastern time.

Like I have said before, I couldn't have done it alone.  Josh Lewis, my co-host, has done a fantastic job to promote the show.  He has also done some yeomen work to get us all ready as far as scheduling and things like that go.

I have been busy for most of the day (and still am) with the technical logistics of the show. 

We hope everything tomorrow goes smoothly.  Of course it probably won't, being the first show and all.  Still, I think we'll all make it through alright.

Anyways, enough with the mushy business.  Down to tomorrow's show:


One full hour of hockey talk.  Of course we're talking the Maple Leafs tomorrow.  We got the latest on the Mats Sundin saga, the Leafs latest jerseys to be honoured, and a whole lot more Maple Leafs puck talk.

We will also go around the league and look at the top stories making headlines in the NHL this week.

Two big guests tomorrow.  Alan Bass and Ken Armer join us from Bleacher Report.com

Alan will join us to talk Maple Leafs hockey, and also give us his take on the Philly Flyers.

Ken Armer will help us preview the Pacific Division.

How goes it BTR faithful?

My name is Derek Harmsworth as I'm sure you know by now.  I am a sports writer for the website Bleacher Report.com where I cover hockey, and more specifically, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The debut edition of the Leafs Talk Today is coming up very soon so stay tuned to this blog and check for reminders I send your way.

The first show is sure to be historic.  On our inaugural show I will be joined by my co-host Josh Lewis.  We will take a look at the latest news from the Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as the NHL in general.

Also, we will be airing some audio from an interview I did recently with Maple Leafs Play-By-Play man, Joe Bowen.
