I was born on April 6th 1985 to Mr. Nelson Omanga and Mrs.Eunice Kerubo Omanga in Nyakoiba Village, Bomachoge Constituency in Kisii County. I have six siblings- two brothers and four sisters. Am number five in the family line up. I have a wonderful grandmother with a funny name Buyaki Okarasi and full of wisdom. My grandfather died shortly before I was born. I went to Nyakoiba Primary School 1992-1999. I joined Rioindo boys High school and Itierio High 2000-2004. After High school I worked with SAYARE RTVN kisii branch where I was the producer and presenter of the Youths Programme. I Taught Upridge high School Chemistry and Physics for a year in the mornings. I worked with ECK as a registration and polling clerk during the 2005 Referendum. I attended the Young Leadership Development Programme (YLDP) in 2006, The Landmark Forum, The World Social Forum, The Global Community Africa leadership training, Speech and leadership by Jade Communications.I left SAYARE RTVN late 2006 to join University of Nairobi where I was doing Information Science. While at the UON I worked with several NGOs including, The Youth Agenda, The NCEC, Bunge La Mwannchi, Movement for political Accountability (MOPA), The Global Community Africa to mention but a few. I had the privilege of representing the Kenya youth on the Constitution Consortium in 2007 at KICC courtesy of Youth Agenda. I travelled to 148 constituencies in Kenya doing civic education on alternative thinking courtesy of Global Community Africa; I represented the Kenyan university students on the East and Central Africa University students’ assembly Held at the UON.Later in 2007 I offered myself as a candidate for the Bosoti ward civic seat which attracted six candidates, on an ODM ticket.
