Two people have been arrested for forging documents bearing the name of the Chief of General Staff Gen Jeremiah Kianga and using them to con unsuspecting Kenyans.The brother and a sister were arrested at the City Centre at the weekend after a hunt that lasted for almost six months.Gen Kianga recorded statements with police last December saying conmen had faked his name and used the documents to register for mobile phone money transfer service, which they used to con unsuspecting Kenyans.This was after several people flocked to his office at the Department of Defence headquarters saying they had sent him money for military slots, which they had been promised and were ready to join training.The victims were shocked when they were informed Gen Kianga was not the one behind the scheme.Detectives from CID Kilimani and headquarters in Mazingira Building started to pursue the conmen only to realise the person who had registered the same was in Kamiti Maximum Prisons serving death sentence...
