He has the demeanour of a humble, harmless leader. Those he has interacted with closely, however, describe him as a strict disciplinarian.
Born 49 years ago, Dr Mzalendo Kibunjia is a man tasked to unite Kenyans and ensure politicians’ mouths do not run wild. For his work as chairman of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission, he has attracted liking and hatred in the same measure.Hatred towards him stems from his recommendation of people to be prosecuted for hate speech.Kibunjia, a father of four, demands a lot from his co-workers, according to the commission’s vice chairman, Ms Mary Onyango.“But I don’t feel pressurised even as the chairman insists we do things done as agreed. We share the responsibility,” she says.So committed is he to his work that he once reported to work at 4am, just to ensure deadlines are met.We are the leading radio for the African diaspora all over the globe..Join us live online http://www.eastafricaradiousa.com or on phone by dialing +1 712 432 2370 Ext 1 or call us for assistance on +1 347 666 2850..Thanks for being our listener
