Armstrong O’Brian ONGERA, Jnr. Is a Kenyan citizen, aged 28 years old, a graduate of philosophy and international relations. He is the current President and Executive Director, AID Kenya Foundation, a nonprofit humanitarian and development charitable foundation with a mission of ‘Changing Lives, Impacting Humanity’. The Foundation focuses its feel-good programs and projects through the Project HOPE Kenya, a program focused on orphaned & vulnerable children, teenage mothers, women and youth at risk and the disadvantaged populations in rural-urban Kenya.The Foundation co-founded in the year January 2008, an orphanage- Wanalea Children’s Home, in Ongata Rongai Nairobi to care for the kids from Kware slums,Kajiado; New Canaan IDP Camp,Nakuru; and from Kisii. Currently the Center is Home to 26 children aged 4-14 years. The Foundation also runs Kitutu Community Resource Center, a project offering vocational training and skills to teenage mothers like Tailoring, Hair dressing and Computers. The Foundation also post volunteers in community project under the Experiential Learning & Cultural Exchange Program. Mr. Ongera, Jnr. Is also the founding Executive Director, Capital Youth Caucus Association (CYCA), an in -and-out of school youth-based nonprofit association dedicated to teaching the youth on democracy and human rights; promoting peace and nonviolent conflict resolution; combating drug and alcohol use and abuse; and empowering youth with life-skills, with the primary aim of making the youth become a responsible citizen, and participate in nation building.
