Hutchinson police have issued an arrest warrant for Hoseah Masabah Kaminja in connection with a homicide. Police say the warrant is for suspicion of first-degree murder and aggravated burglary. Wednesday, police started searching for Kaminja for questioning in the case. They are also looking for a red 2007 Nissan Altima with Kansas plates VUI 800. The body of 41-year-old Wilfrida Masabah was found in a home in the 1600 block of Arthur on Wednesday. Investigators say she had experienced blunt trauma, but they have not determined the cause of her death. They say an autopsy is being done in Sedgwick County. Police say Hoseah Masabah Kaminja is the ex-husband of the victim. Investigators say the woman's current boyfriend found her body and called 911 Wednesday. Kaminja was married to Masabah for six years. He filed for divorce from her in August. As part of the divorce, the court decided a mutual restraining order was in the best interest of both parties because of previous conflicts and disturbances. About a week before the divorce papers were filed, Hutchinson Police were called to the couple's home because of a verbal argument. No one was arrested or charged. The Hutchinson Police Department says Wilfrida Masabah died from sharp and blunt force trauma to her head, neck and chest. Masabah's body was found in her Hutchinson home on Wednesday. The next day, police issued an arrest warrant for her estranged husband, Hoseah Masabah Kaminj. Investigators say a hatchet found near her body is believed to have been used in the murder.
