Project Single Moms: It’s about a hand up, Not a hand out!

Single mothers are stigmatically given a lifestyle of low paying jobs, low education levels and low self esteem. Empowerment is challenging and at times an isolating event. There are resources for the single mother to offer opportunity, unity and empowerment. PSM is a national advocacy and empowerment movement created by My Daughter’s Keeper, Inc., a 501(c)3 educational and self-development non-profit organization based in New Jersey, to mobilize single moms to become the change they desire in their lives. Through strategic partnerships with individuals, corporations, faith & community-based organizations, and government agencies, Project Single Moms works to create opportunities to strengthen and enhance the quality of life for single mothers and their families. Project Single Moms is proud to serve as a National Charitable Partner for Project Working Mom 2010 presented by elearner.com. Project Working Mom 2010 will award 285 full-tuition scholarships totalling approximately $5 million to working moms, non-working moms and single moms this year.
