The answer is simple: In order to successfully help you organize your ministry or business we must first understand the Ministry of Jesus. Jesus was very careful in organizing, choosing and making decisions in His ministry. He showed compassion and love for the people, and the love that He showed drew thousands of people toward him. His fame grew because of His teachings and His miracles, but most important it grew because of His love and comassion for them. He also encountered witchcraft, demons and demoic forces that attempted to overthrow His kingdom. Jesus was not in the ministry for fortune or notoriety: he was simly carring out his Father's instructions. His humble service cause God to raise, elevate and exalt him above all. Philippians 2:8-11 says, "And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth; and that every toungue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Jesus knew that he was more than just a man, yet he humbled himself even to experience rejections and humiliations so that he could feel our pain even unto death. He believed in his Father and trusted Him in all that he did knowing that he would be raised up again.
In order to be effective in your ministry you must be willing to die for what you believe. You must be willing to trust in the Lord our God in everything, including your life. You must also have love and compassion for God's people. 1 Corinthians 13:1,2 says, "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing," In other words, if you want a ministry with harmony and unity you must have love: without it your ministry will sound annoying and look premature; you will appear out of control with no anointing leaving the people confused and unsure of your message.
"Love covers a multitude of sins, love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not, it does not brag and is not arrogant. Love does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, it thinks no evil. It does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never fails" (1Cor. 13:4-8). If you take love out of your ministry or business then you will have suffering, envy, bragging, arrogance, you will become easily provoked, think evil thoughts and rejoice in iniquity. You will not be able to bear the burdens of ministry, nor will you be able to believe or hope in the things of the Lord. You will not be able to endure the trials and tribulations of ministry; without love your ministry will fail. Your ministry must first be mature in love.
How do you move toward a successful ministry? the answer is with love and with patience. You must patiently wait until God gives you the OK to go ahead and step into your calling. Jesus spent all of his life preparing for His ministry and learning wisdom and knowledge from his Father and what steps to take. When the time was right He began to reveal Himself and through love and compassion, He healed and taught with wisdom and authority loke no other. His ministry was effective, powerful and fulfilling. The love that He possessed was so strong that He was able to walk up to men and ask them to leave everything and follow Him. And with no questions asked they obeyed. The love that Jesus showed drew people to Him like a magnet. Although his ministry only lasted for three years on earth, it made an impact on the world and He is highly exalted above all, and through the Holy Spirit He left a legacy for us to fulfill. It does not matter how long your ministry will last. What matters is that it be efective, powerful and successful that no one will be able to forget the impact that was made by your ministry through the love of God.
In everything you do, learn to do it with a spirit of excellence to please God. A person with a spirit of excellence does things decently and orderly. Through excellence love, wisdom, kowledge and understanding are expressed.
Love what you do and love the people you are serving!
