QUESTION. ??? Time and again in local and state issues progressives seem to lose to well funded campaigns run by consultants for special interests who get a strong return on their investment - how do we battle?

I disagree with the illegal immigrant argument. It just doesn't follow that because an individual may have broken a minor law it is, therefore, ok for others to break our laws by entering our country illegally. Also, how can any progressive argue that it is a good thing for people to come into our country and be taken advantage of?

I think the best argument against "illegal" immigrants is that they are employed by corporations, and most Republicans secretly understand the need and will not do much about it, so the debate is bogus. Is that a good argument? maybe not empathic, but true!

Hi, William Klein here from the California Bay Area. I'm completing my Ed.D. in Media Studies. I have read "Don't Think of an Elephant" and all but the last two chapters of "The Political Mind."

Thank you for this opportunity to talk to Professor Lakoff and hear about his new book the Political Mind. (I have read it, and it is very informative) I'm hoping he might talk about the time line for main line acceptance of his "New Enlightenment Philosophy." I'm planing to do a review for the Street Prophets website. Regards, Linkage
