What if you're 25 and already graduated from the school and schools in your district. Any advice there?

Have you ever thought that perhaps the great success of the Left's ability to organize online is starting to back fire because everyone is breaking off into their own - Actblue being the leader, yet every a lot of 'democratic' issues are taking away money from the DCCC or DSCC. Just an idea.

It's easy as you said - give titles - however - the problem is I don't want to step on feet. I don't want to take from the county, I don't want to take from the 'tri county' young dems -- Sometimes I get the feeling people are upset that I'm taking 'their' man power.

This film, generated by high power, misses the mark in some dangerous ways. Though it may raise awareness, it stumbles and falls regarding solution. This is in keeping with the greed filled activist community’s agenda of building their individual money / power machines, rather than focusing on solution. The divide in the activist community has been exacerbated by evidence that Microsoft has infiltrated the “ Hand Count Paper Ballots” community. While many in this community have chosen the HCPB position out of a good hearted notion to return to “ the good ‘ol days” of retail disenfranchisement and ballot fraud, others now are obvious as representing the business interests of proprietary “ intellectual property” voting systems. This was made further apparent by the film’s advocacy of a faux transparent voting system ( TRU VOTE ) , which is Microsoft based, but looks like an open source project. This attempt to assimilate open source voting systems, and dilute the open source movement, is the keystone of the cinematic effort. It is further evidence that the highlighted investigators are not solution providers, and may not even be activists. Though some may be merely ignorant, there is not time available to sort the corrupt from the ill intentioned. There is evidence of method, motive and opportunity for corruption of Bloggers, activists and academics. Microsoft does not want the words “ open source “ in any activist conversation. The fact is we all know we must always have a paper ballot - and since we utilize computers - We must demand these systems are disallowed from utilizing secret proprietary software code that bars citizen investigation. Coupling complete paper ballots with open source scanners is our most powerful agenda. With the volume of Los Angeles, and the momentum of Instant Run- Off Voting ( which complicates the hand counting process to the point of extinction ) along with the election officials “ clerk convenience” issues, we are highly unlikely to return to hand counting paper ballots. So why do the “ activists” and high power movie makers disregard open source solutions as part of their agenda ? We must assume Microsoft has had a chat with some of the players. Now we finally hear open source mentioned in the movie- But it is a corrupt version- Truly sad. The Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights sits on top of a network of about 20-25 activist groups- They set the agenda for the network, and have only issued directives regarding hand counting. They do not recognize the computer issues . They do not recognize the open source community or the solution to the secret code issue. They do however, advocate hand counting paper ballots. Their underlings, which include People for the American Way and Move On, profit from the issue by fundraising from the public. When pressed for information, Joan Blades from Move On states she gets her agenda from Stanford professor David Dill. David Dill and Avi Rubin are a part of the “ Accurate “ group- Accurate was given a 7 + million dollar federal grant to write a “ white paper” regarding open source solutions to the voting crisis. When applying for the grant, they cited the Open Voting Consortium as a group they would rely upon for expertise. After receiving the grant, communication with the OVC was stopped. This is the basis for an ongoing investigation. Many other prominent academics were like wise disassociated from the project. David Dill works from the “ Bill Gates Wing “ at Stanford. Back to Microsoft. When meeting with high ranking members of Congress who sit on elections committees. They mention open source has a couple of enemies. The first is Microsoft. The second is Accurate, and the disinformation campaign on Capitol Hill. Apparently David Dill and the Microsoft lobbyists tell members of Congress to disregard the open source community leaders. They use language like “ open source is no panacea “ and “ open source is futuristic, but currently vaporware” So we are seeing a civil liberties assault hitting on all cylinders. If you believe that people could be so bad as to tamper with elections- consider they might be so bad as to “ prop up “ bloggers , infiltrate the activist community, inappropriately usurp federal funds, perpetrate disinformation campaigns, and persuade good hearts into obstructionist agenda. The bad guys might also corrupt political parties by generous contributions. It makes sense. We know bloggers and donors have been consulting our federal legislators and Secretaries of State. We know these types have associations with David Dill and the activist community. We know they use “ red herring “ issues to slow down the solution process, and they are commonly enemies to the open source movement. They run smear campaigns and attempt to brutalize our civil rights activists. We have time stamps where they have been in with our legislators who have embraced open source. Interestingly, after conversation with these “ blogger’ types- and admitted threats from Microsoft, our congressional leaders have literally removed the open source language we struggle to achieve. This is heinous, reprehensible and an affront to democracy. It goes way past a fund raising game. It is a national security threat. So take this movie with a thousand grains of salt. As an internal affairs specialist within the “ movement “ – I am available for further information, upon request. Best regards, Brent Turner

Jim Dean- uncounted group- When you advocate hand counting, and leave open source code out of the conversation- You miss the essence of election reform and hurt the movement- This is sad as it makes you look like you are either misinformed or intentionally slowind down the solution of open source- Brent Turner
