Endometrial cancer is sometimes called uterine cancer, and although the diagnosis of endometrial cancer is difficult to receive, the good news is that this type of cancer is often found at its earliest and most treatable stage. According to American Cancer Society, about 7% of women newly diagnosed with endometrial cancer are black, but black women account for about 14% of the approximately 7,000 deaths from the disease. Black women with advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer had significantly worse survival duration than white women who received the same therapy in four clinical trials, Our guest Khaleelah Shabazz is a uterine cancer survivor who founded Women Conquering Cancer- a Community based non-profit. Join us live as Khaleelah shares her cancer journey of hope and giving back. Call in: 347- 945-5853.
