Landstrike is the fictional story of a major hurricane striking New York City. This is a potential disaster that the federal government has long had on its "top ten" list of worst natural disasters likely to occur in the future. Many experts have said it is "inevitable" that a major hurricane will strike the city.
Landstrike follows fictional hurricane Nicole from its formation in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa through its catastrophic rampage up the Hudson River many days later, and the aftermath as New Yorkers of all social strata struggle to survive in the storm's aftermath. The St. Augustine Record, in its review, said Landstrike read like "future history."
Kate said, "Loved your book. It kept me thinking, long after I closed the pages, about the what if's & how's, etc. It has a very subtle way of getting under your skin or should I say, into your brain. Not only was it a good story as far as the entertainment factor was concerned, but it has a weird way of opening one's eyes to the catastrophic possibilities. Very clever."
This is a page turner and if you live in or near an area that could has hurricanes, tornadoes or earthquakes, you will be interested in this story.
