Mirroring Society: Reflections on Spirituality, Race, Culture and Gender - Johnathan contacted me and we met to discuss life, culture and his book. I was impressed from the moment we sat down. This young, up and coming author has deep convictions and feels a passionate need/desire to get his message out. I truly hope that this broadcast assists him on that path. Mirroring Society is written with the intent of making people think critically about the need for positive change in their lives. According to Author Johnathan Brunson, readers can expect this book to “address serious issues from the perspective of a young educated black male. Growing up in Wilson, NC, I wasted years trying seeking the approval of other Black males. I later realized that in order to make a genuine impact on young Black boys, with God’s approval I have to relentlessly make an effort to encourage positive change within the community.” Join me as I interview Johnathan and hopefully help him to begin to make some much needed changes...
