Scribe - John Henry's Thoughts on Politics

There is no ‘I’ in team

But the ‘I’ in politics today takes individuality to the extreme

Claim you are all about public service and the need to serve your district

From the outside of the Washington Beltway, it appears only the national deficit grows larger than the cash the lobbyist give freely for you to spend

Thought you were suppose to impose legal protections against child abuse and illicit behavior

Appropriated ‘check blanc’ now over 500 billion to spend for this ‘terrorist war’

Come time to fix the levees for New Orleans and repairing the Gulf Coast

    - You dare tell me there is no money in the budget to aide in reconstructing the infrastructure for those living on your own soil

Now it appears a few of you have been sending out mass explicit e-mails to underage pages

Your attempt to say you did not know what your fellow co-worker was doing only further enrages

Please, did you think we as the American public already knew of the secrets, lies and untold truths?

Stop with the madness, trying to get over is only making you look the bigger fool

All we, the American people want is effective, equal and qualified representation

More of a tax break for the working class and impose more of this burden on billion-dollar profit making corporations

Better foreign policy would create a strong willingness to commit to equal trade

Tired of seeing jobs being shipped away and dreams for a better life fade

Time for you, the elected officials to do your assigned task

Failure to do so will result in you drawing unemployment real fast

    Scribe - Exposure

    Exposure

Life vision provides a mirror from time to time

One can see both the beauty of the outer and dive deeper into the inner that may not be so kind

Inside resides the true you that once revealed, you cannot run and hide

Inside holds the passion that moves your soul and gives love's energy that rampantly moves you to act beyond 'stronger than pride.'

Outer atmosphere or internal environment - which mirror reflection do you cherish and hold dear?

Which once revealed to the world, gives you ability to stand strong like 20 ton steel?

Or will your exposed unarmored flesh allow another to care for the wounds you never touch but know need to be healed?

Which one when shown the life's prism gaze expressed your true self and the one you wish to reveal?

Inside me, I see a reflection that is evolving teacher, a contrite student and a dominant, passionate soul that is hungry to be fed spiritually, mentally and passionately - that's true & real

When the light is shined inside your exposed soul, is it really how you truly wish to appear, express your soul and let others know how you feel

Political Blog: Early Voting & Constitutional Thoughts

Feel free to look over the website link provided to see if your state is listed for offering early voting. Personally, I think the time has come for Election Day to be a Federal holiday, there needs to be a constitutional amendment ensuring the right to vote and if nothing else all 50 states, territories and commonwealths need to have federally manadated early voting programs. Additionally, there needs to be a better tracking and or verification system when it comes to voting. If you can buy gasoline, food and other things anywhere in America, you get a receipt and then can get a statement from your bank or credit card company - then your voter verification can and should operate the same way.

    Link: http://www.ncsl.org/programs/legismgt/elect/absentearly.htm

Get the 'information' out there and use it to your advantage. Additionally, when you go to vote early - inquire if there is a verification you the voter can receive. Let me know what you find out.

    CONSTITUTIONAL THOUGHTS...

Oh, one more thing - look at the original Bill of Rights and constitutionally, the American voting electorate can rightfully and peacefully 'petition the federal government' to address the matter of the need for a constitutional amendment ensuring one's right to vote. 'We have not because we ask not.' We have no change due to the fact most of us are not willing to fight for the change, only want to reap the results and reward. Read and get educated and ACT!
