Join me, Deborah Osborne, and Dr. Pamela Beal as we discuss problem oriented approaches and best practices in dealing with graffiti. Dr. Beal is currently the Project Director for the West Side Story Project Tool Kit. Dr. Beal lives in Tacoma, WA and works with the Seattle Police Foundation on a Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services grant to create a tool kit for other locations to replicate a project that uses theatre and the arts as a means of preventing youth violence and improving police-youth relations. Dr. Beal was formerly the Director of the University at Buffalo Regional Community Policing Center in Buffalo, NY where she worked with local law enforcement on several low level crime and disorder problems, including the problem of graffiti.
