GLOW International, began with a simple mandate to Go Love Our World. Sounds easy enough, right? This “GLOW” idea began stirring in my heart a few years ago when I went on a mission trip as an interpreter. What was a simple outreach turned into a calling as I witnessed first-hand the poverty of a third world country. With my ability to speak the local language I was able to understand more fully the needs of the community and the local resources that might be available. I came home with a burden to do something….but how could I offer a hand up, not a hand out? What could I do that would empower others and yet still be sustainable? This year, when I went on mission again, I found myself in a small town in Northwest Honduras. I was surprised to discover that there were resources available in the community…that no one knew about. For whatever reason, organizations were not communicating with each other and therefore, the impact on the community was limited. I asked myself, “What would happen if I worked with local partners by simply connecting the dots between organizations and ministries? Before my two weeks were over, GLOW International was born. 00:44:00Unfolded Hearts Talknoserve, fatith, hope, america,Lovego love our world, serving and meeting the needs of other communities in another countryWord on Refunds & Warranty: Gal 6:9 Proper time we will reap..https://www.blogtalkradio.com/debbie-somjak/2017/01/23/word-on-refunds-warranty-gal-69-proper-time-we-will-reapSpiritualityhttps://www.blogtalkradio.com/debbie-somjak/2017/01/23/word-on-refunds-warranty-gal-69-proper-time-we-will-reap/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/debbie-somjak/2017/01/23/word-on-refunds-warranty-gal-69-proper-time-we-will-reapMon, 23 Jan 2017 17:00:00 GMTWord on Refunds & Warranty: Gal 6:9 Proper time we will reap..A word the Lord began on January 20,2017. He also teaches philosophy at Theologisches Seminar Rheinland in Wölmersen, Germany. Adam is a PhD candidate at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Having worked in the field of actuarial science for 10 years after college, he then served as a Pastor for 8 years. While in his twenties he went through a crisis of faith: are there good reasons and evidence to believe God exists and the Bible is from Him? His search for answers led him to apologetics and propelled him into ministry with a passion to share what God has allowed him to learn. He desires to serve others by equipping Christians and reaching the lost for Christ. The word "shame" is closely related to "mortified" which is derived form a French word meaning death. Shame is the experience of profound embarrassment, a feeling of wanting to "curl up and die" on the inside.  Understanding your shame leads to a richer appreciation for the work of Christ. 00:35:00Unfolded Hearts Talknogospel,In Christ, women, shame, heart issuePsalm 119:32 O, Lord do not put me to shame! Always having a love for singing, she determined early on that her gifts would be used to bring Him glory and fame. Through the years God has opened many doors for her to minister in song, both in her local church and in other churches as well; but, never before has the call to be a worshiper been as deeply affirmed than when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009.  From the moment she received that unwelcome news the deep place of her song became deeper still ~ deepened by the Lord Himself as He began to teach her what it truly means to keep singing, to keep lifting the song of worship, even while the storm is raging.   With the storm quieter these days, she seeks to fulfill the call He has placed on my heart ... for such a time as this ... to offer encouragement to the world around her, to proclaim that no matter what storm you find yourself in ... God is bigger and He is enough! Cindy is a Charlotte, NC native but currently lives in Rock Hill, SC. If we look at King David it is plain to see he knew his identity, because he knew his identity he had the boldness and courage to walk in it.  Imagine if David only had a mere glimpse of his identity or he only believed what others told he what they thought his identity was; he would have never fulfilled God's plan for his life and the Nation of Israel. She began her ministry in 1986 as a Junior High and High School teacher in a private Christian school where she learned that evangelism isn’t just about an organized crusade, or standing on a street corner declaring the Word of the Lord, but something as simple as a kind greeting could reach the heart of an individual. From these beginnings, the Lord opened the doors to homes of people in the inner-city of Detroit where she was able to share the gospel to not just ordinary families, but prostitutes, alcoholics and abused women as well.  These encounters not only brought change into these people’s lives, but  Yvonne would be forever changed as well.  Since being in the Orlando area, she has established Life Saving Ministries, which has reached out to students at the local college and supports missions work to the nation of Cuba. The same men and women who love God and believe in His truths are disappointed and disillusioned in their marriages in increasing numbers.  Haines Maxwell, a Christian businessman from Charlotte, NC, has been involved in men’s ministry for 25+ years and has a passion to see good marriages grow and broken marriages restored.  “I haven’t got women quite figured out (smile) but I’ve learned a lot about the heart of a man over the years and I’m convinced relationships only have a chance of being what God has called them to be when men begin to get a clue of their true identity and the strength God has called them to walk in. The first step, I believe, is for men to live in real community with other men. Too many men walk alone,“ says Maxwell, who experienced the tragedy of divorce after a 20-year Christian marriage. “There’s an ‘iron sharpens iron’ thing that goes way beyond the hour or two a week a man spends hearing sermons and participating in worship. And this community must go much deeper than news, work and sports.” Maxwell helps lead the charge at "The Barn", a weekly, multi-church  initiative under the 501c3 ministry umbrella of Faith in the Family that includes men from over 15 area churches. www.barnbrothers.org   Haines Maxwell - Regional Director of Neat StuffWestern Associates, Home of Neat Stuff U.  http://www.neatstuffu.com Regional Showroom in Charlotte at Fountains 00:40:00Unfolded Hearts Talknomarriage, divorce, men and women, christians, relationshipsThe divorce rate among Christians is staggering and the consequences are tragic. When she discovered an ancient Hebraic model of dream interpretation and began to study dreams, it propelled her into her destiny as she realized God had been speaking to her all her life through dreams, visions and symbolism. Her purpose and passion is to share how God speaks to EVERYONE in a myriad of ways people may not be aware of and help them unlock how God personally speaks to them. Her purpose is to propel others into theirs! Teresa studied dream interpretation from April of 2003, until June of 2007, with an international ministry that focuses on dream interpretation. While associated with them, she became a certified instructor and a certified dream interpreter. She also participated with Dream Teams at various events such as conferences and the Super Bowl. Teresa often has God speak to her in her dreams, revealing to her how to interpret them and what things mean. She has personally documented and interpreted over 20,000 dreams since 2003 and has discovered hidden keys and mysteries of how to interpret not only dreams and visions, but numerous other experiences, circumstances, and events. God has released, commissioned and commanded her to share this revelation and to release others into their destiny. God revealed to her she is a "Destiny Fulfillment Coordinator" - who says God isn't funny! The ministry God gave her in 2007, Above & Beyond, is based on Ephesians 3:20 in the ancient Hebraic scrolls. The mission is to empower people to aspire higher… to believe that God will go “Above & Beyond” all they can ask or imagine. It's also to take people “Above & Beyond” into the supernatural realm of God’s love and experience Him in tangible and powerful ways that bring eternal change and propel them into a realm of hope and expectation for their future. 01:00:00Unfolded Hearts Talknopurpose, destiny, dream symbols, dream interpretation, visionsTeresa Ward has been a prolific dreamer since childhood – dreaming all night, every night. They married in 1971, and less than a year later they moved to southeast Texas, where their marriage began to deteriorate. "Jim's career was his mistress, says Marsha. "No," says Jim. "It was worse than that...my career was my god." What followed was fifteen years of miserable marriage. Then, following a dramatic reconciliation in 1986, they began putting their marriage back together. Though they were reconciled, there was a lot of work to be done on the road from reconciliation to restoration. Their story about how God worked in their lives to bring reconciliation and restoration is God's Blueprint for Marriage. God's Blueprint details how God brought the two of them into a deeper relationship with God and with each other. Jim and Marsha use God's Blueprint for Marriage as the foundation for premarital counseling to help newlyweds establish a strong relationship with each other, by applying the principles, which include making Jesus Christ the Lord of their marriage. They also use God's Blueprint as the foundation for pastoral counseling with couples having marriage problems.
