The DCPP 5th Anniversary! A Special Conversation with Poet Kim B. Miller

The DC Poetry Project will be celebrating its Fifth Anniversary on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Eatonville Restaurant in Washington, DC. The special guest at the event will be acclaimed spoken word poet Kim B. Miller!  Tonight, Ms. Miller joins us to share some of her poetry and talk about her upcoming performance at the Fifth Anniversary Event. An open mic poetry session will follow the conversation.

Kim is a native New Yorker, born in Brooklyn. She is an author, facilitator, internet radio show host and a spoken word artist.  She's passionate about helping moms and dads parent together, even if they are in pain themselves. She's been featured on WLIB, KD Bowe Morning Show with Denise Hill, giving advice and guidance to callers with questions on parenting. She facilitated workshops and was part of an author's panel at Hueman Bookstore in Harlem, NY.

This spoken word artist loves writing and spittin. She wants you to feel her heart in each piece. She has been the featured poet in several venues, churches and programs in VA, MD, DC and NY. She has also performed in an off-Broadway production.
