A new documentary was just released  by the Center for Bioethics and Culture called "Breeders: A Subclass of Women?" In this season premiere of ABCS of Surrogacy, Dawn critiques this dramatic account detailing the journey of three independent surrogate mothers and someone who opted to co-parent a baby with someone else. Dawn explains very specifically why this documentary is an outstanding example demonstrating why independent surrogacy without any oversight is a recipe for failure. She emphasizes why recipient parents and surrogate mothers should rely upon the expertise of professionals such as lawyers and psychologists as well as surrogacy agencies prior to embarking on a surrogacy journey. In fact, in each of the surrogacy journeys exposed, each failed to utilize these experts in any capacity, resulting in the predictable catastrophe in one form or another with each recipient parent or surrogate mother.
